The stunning pristine Silver Strand (left) & Uggool beach (right) lay peacefully behind the largest mountain in Connacht, Mweelrea. Sitting on the most southerly coastline of Co. Mayo and bordering on Killary harbour, this unspoiled location is a must-visit in person and offers some truly hard to match beauty on Ireland’s west coast.

The Co. Mayo coastline has some of the most stunning landscapes Ireland has to offer, nowhere more so than the remote Silver Strand beach. It is difficult to capture the raw untouched beauty of this location, two beaches split by the shoulder of Mweelrea as it reaches down toward the ocean. To get a sense of the scale of Silver Strand, an aerial shot was the only composition I could fathom to do any justice to this incredible location.
