Comprising of two islands, Skellig Michael and Little Skellig, these remote outposts lie 13km off the southwestern coast of Co. Kerry. These weathered islands were featured heavily in the Star Wars saga "The Last Jedi".

Upon a road trip with a visiting friend, we had made our way to Valentia Island. After witnessing some incredible weather conditions lashing against the coastline beyond Portmagee, it was the iconic silhouettes of the Skelligs in the distance coupled with dramatic skies that led me to capture this striking scene.
