Behind the Image

On every occasion that I have spent time photographing in the Burren, Mullghmore’s unique formation is so iconic to the landscape that it is hard to to incorporate it into any composition whether that be wide or telephoto. For the longest time I had this particular composition in mind, paring back all else to encapsulate the essence of this landscape in a single image. All I had to do is wait, specifically for Western Spring light, to separate the contrast defined upon each winding layer.
