Behind the Image

Waking just before sunrise on location, I wanted to explore more graphic opportunities with the coastal landscape. I have always been fond of the textures that feature amongst the rocks at Ballyconneelly, and this particular composition arose from the striking contrast of the red sandstone and the small tidal pool that nestles upon it, reflecting the bright blue skies of that particular morning.
