Behind the Image

During a peacefully still and overcast morning, I spent contemplative time enjoying the silence of Derryclare Lough. These particular reeds stood out to me as the embodiment of those conditions, calm, tranquil, serene and isolated with perfect reflections frozen in time due to the lough's stillness. With the West of Ireland particularly and regularly exposed to copious amounts of wind, still moments like this are genuinely peaceful.
