Behind the Image

Waiting weeks, if not months for the right conditions is a typical blight on a landscape photographer when envisioning a particular shot that comes to mind. Nowhere more so than waiting to shoot a specific image on the West coast of Ireland. An early autumn morning venture to Derryclare Lough, with hardly a breeze, light from the southeast and just the right temperature to allow mist echo from the water’s surface resulted in this particular shot of the beautiful Scotts Pine trees so iconic to Pine Island.
